On biographies and failures

We've launched a new feature today - full length biographies for an artist are now available by clicking the more link after the short version on an artist homepage. We've also identified why you were getting a blank page sometimes, even though you'd scrobbled a track, and we've put in something to try and get round it. That said, it is a fairly hairy piece of guesswork, so you may find that you aren't getting the right data sometimes. Still, my thinking is that at least you are getting *some* data now...

Any other issues you'd like to see fixed? As always, please comment here

just to day that I've been running this most of the day alongside the Last.fm app and it's all been working great until it came to some classical music,( 101 Classics – Albinoni - Adagio in G. Minor ) to be precise and on SN I still had the page for the previous artist, I guess it doesn't update if it doesn't recognise the track even if it has been scrobbled ?

Heh. We knew classical would be a problem - Musicbrainz is pretty good, but ID3 tags do not lend themselves well to the necessary structure of classical metadata and so most classical music is (by Musicbrainz definition) poorly tagged.

And yes, if we completely fail to match an artist then the page does not refresh until we get an artist that we do recognise... It seemed the cleanest type of failure for the moment.
